About Franklin
Franklin is a big energetic boy who is dog friendly but due to his upbringing is just now learning social skills. Franklin will play with any toy available, loves his walks, and is great on a leash. He is extremely food motivated, if there is food around, he is going to find it. This big boy loves his car ride sticking his head out the window letting his ears flop in the wind. He will need a patient owner who is willing to put in the time and energy to train and love him.
Franklin's Story
Franklin was a found as a stray here in North Carolina and spent three months at a local shelter until he was given 48 hours to live and set to be euthanized due to the overpopulation of the shelter. He was severely emaciated weighing in at just under 30 pounds and suffering from a minor case of demodex mange. Based off of Franklin's lack of social skills with people and dogs and physical state when he was found he was most likely neglected his entire life. Confined or tied up knowing nothing other than a person's back after they gave him his occasional feeding. Franklin is getting all the love he deserves now and is just waiting to find a home and family he can call his own.
