Slim was dropped off over night with her brother at a local animal shelter both in the same medium crate filled with urine and fecal matter. We immediately took slim in, she was severely emaciated, with sores all over her body and the pads of her paws coming off from her sitting in her own urine for so long. When we got her we didn't know if she was going to make it because of the condition she was in, she was unable to stand on her own or even hold her head up. Due to some behavior issue we are unable to put Slim up for adoption, but she lives with us and fell right into our pack. Slim is the first dog Because of Bubbles Rescue took in and is the true underdog.
Mashed Potato or Koda was found as a stray with her mother and taken to the local animal shelter, she was later adopted from that same animal shelter. Shortly after her adoption she was found again as a stray and taken back to the same animal shelter. Owners were notified but could not reclaim her due to the condition she was in. Potato was slightly underweight and had developed demodex mange. Potato was then pulled from the rescue by us and shortly after she found her furever home and was adopted to an amazing family. Potato now goes by Koda and is living the life she once dreamed of while she slept in her shelter kennel.
BB or Bella was abandoned by whoever owned her and left to fend for herself at only a few months old. When we took her in, she was underweight, infested with worms, parasites, was not accustom to a loving hand, and had given up all hope. Once she realized she was safe she opened up and became the most loving and playful dog at the rescue. BB found her furever home and was adopted by an amazing family and now goes by Bella. Bella was our Second adoption.
Sweet Baby Rae was the hardest adoption we had to do so far. She was found abandoned, emaciated, and scared with fishing line sewn in her crudely chopped ears. When we first got her, she would urinate and cower every time we would go to touch her because she only knew abuse and neglect. She quickly warmed up to the dogs of the rescue especially Momma and Evey they became the best of friends. Soon enough she would allow us to show her affection and give her the love she so desperately needed and deserved. Sweet Baby Rae eventually found the family that she had been dreaming of all those nights she had slept lonely, hurt, cold, and hungry. She is truly an angel in a dog's body and we named her Sweet Baby Rae because she was the sweetest and most loving dog who would brighten your day like a ray of sunshine every time you would see her. She now sleeps in a warm bed with a full belly every night and the only hands that touch her are gentle, loving, and caring hands. Sweet Baby Ray is the true underdog.
Mama aka Bella and her two puppies Luna and Maggie May were seized by Animal Protective Services and then were immediately rescued by us. The two puppies were placed in foster homes not long after we rescued them. Both of those fosters eventually ended up adopting Luna and Maggie May. Mama stayed with us for a couple of months until she was done being treated for heartworm and was able to be spayed. She was kept outside had been used for breeding her entire life and did not know life without puppies. She eventually learned what life was like without constantly being bred and with the help of her best fiends Evey and Sweet Baby Ray she learned how to be a dog. Not long after she was spayed she caught the eye of some wonderful people. She now lives with her new family in her furever home with her new brother Cowboy.
Frida was surrendered to Animal Protective Services as one pound six-week-old puppy. She was living in conditions no dog especially one that young and small should live in. When surrendered she was riddled in fleas and had intestinal parasites. She was immediate taken to the vet and given the care she desperately needed. Not long after she was taken in by an amazing foster family who had every intention of adopting her. She now lives with her furever family being treated like the little princess she is.
Nugget is one of the strongest dogs that has come through Because of Bubbles Rescue. We were contacted by a random individual who said they had a puppy that they believed had been kicked in the face and was suffering from a broken jaw. We went the next day and the pictures we had received did not do any justice for the true condition she was in. Nugget had suffered a broken jaw but not recently, she had been living with this since she was most likely a couple weeks old. The vet determined she was either kicked or attacked by her mother at a young age. Not long after we rescued her, she was taken in by an absolutely amazing foster who was interested in eventually adopting her. She required surgery to fix her jaw and remove the infection that was infesting her mouth due to lack of treatment for so long. Her first surgery went extremely well, and her foster family did an amazing job of taking care of her while she was recovering. She eventually needed to be spayed and while she went in for a spay it was discovered that another infection had developed due to piece of bone that needed to be removed. The poor girl then had to go through another mouth surgery to remove the infection. She made a full recovery and now lives with three other dogs in a loving household, her big sister Fiona (left) and her are inseparable.
