Bimby is our shy but loving black beauty who will jump up into your arms to give you kisses once she trust you. Bimby is dog friendly, and is people friendly, but she does take a little time to warm up to you. She loves playing with toys sometimes but mostly likes playing with other dogs once she gets to know them. She would be perfect for a one to two dog household, she has yet to be tested with cats or children. Once Bimby gets to know you she will give you endless love with all the cuddles and kisses, she is just waiting for a family to call her own.
Bimby was found as a stray and taken to a local shelter here in North Carolina where she sat suffering from black dog syndrome for many months with no interest from adopters. She was nervous and stressed in the shelter and would growl in her kennel at people she did not know. Unfortunately, the shelter became overpopulated, and she was set to be euthanized due to her behavior that was caused by the stressful shelter environment. The day she was set to be euthanized she was rescued. After getting to our rescue, she seemed extremely timid and would flinch when you would initially go to pet her which leads us to believe at some point she was abused and or mistreated. When she went to the vet for spay surgery, we asked them to check her teeth because they seemed to be causing her pain. While she was under the vet discovered she had shrapnel and a bullet logged in her gums indicating she had been shot at some point in her life. This answered our questions and explained why she was so shy and timid and does not trust humans right away. She is now finally getting the love she deserves all she needs now is the family she deserves.
